Pickups of the Week
Geno Smith (QB) – Seahawks
It is time for the fantasy community to take Geno seriously. Through five weeks he ranks as the QB6 on the season, including QB7, QB2 and QB3 overall finishes over the last three games. He is no longer just a streaming quarterback and with a four-game stretch of juicy matchups upcoming, he needs to be added and started in all formats. Geno is leading the offense that ranks top-8 in yards and points per game.
Use #1 Waiver Priority: No
FAAB Budget %: 10%
Ken Walker III (RB) – Seahawks
With Rashaad Penny suffering a very unfortunate broken fibula on Sunday, Walker could potentially be the biggest waiver add of the entire season. He is a must-add in all formats, using top-waiver priorities. Fantasy GMs should also not be shy to dump all of their remaining FAAB to acquire him. After Penny went down, Walker stepped in and dominated, rushing for 88 yards and a score. There is no longer a split backfield to cause any concern and through four weeks Penny was the RB16, making that the fantasy-scoring floor for Walker’s rest of season outlook. Walker should also be targeted aggressively in trades if he is not on the waiver wire, as his value is only going to skyrocket as the weeks advance.
