Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 17

  • Teams on Bye Week:

    None

    Tyler Allgeier (RB) – Falcons:

Once again it was Allgeier leading the Falcons’ backfield in Week 16.  Although he was unable to find the endzone, he still put together a quality game for his fantasy GMs, finishing the week as the RB12.  He has been the clear lead back, ahead of Cordarrelle Patterson, each of the last two weeks and has received more work in both the passing game and rushing attack.  At this point, he needs to be rostered and likely started in the majority of leagues heading into a juicy matchup on Championship Weekend against the Cardinals. He is the RB8 during the two weeks of the fantasy playoffs and could be a very key piece on championship rosters.

Use #1 Waiver Priority: Yes. Last week of fantasy playoffs, use priority to fill roster needs.

FAAB Budget %:  Last week of fantasy playoffs, use all remaining FAAB on any claims.

    Chuba Hubbard (RB) – Panthers:

The Panthers love to run the ball and even though Hubbard is in a timeshare, he is still able to remain fantasy relevant for the majority of weeks.  Against the very tough Lions run defense, Hubbard busted off 125 yards on only 12 attempts. He has at least 65 yards on the ground in three of his past four games and warrants a roster spot in all competitive redraft leagues. Whether fantasy GMs are able to start him is very roster dependent, but he should be a RB2/3 option in Week 17 against the Bucs that just allowed a RB4 performance to James Conner.
