Fantasy Football: Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 15

Chuba Hubbard (RB) – Panthers:

Hubbard had a quality game against the Seahawks in Week 14 and was the most effective runner amongst the Panthers’ backs. The Canadian scampered for 74 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts, adding three receptions for 25 yards and finishing as the RB9 in Week 14. Unfortunately, he is in a very clear timeshare with D’Onta Foreman and his fantasy scoring ceiling has a lid on it. If Foreman happened to miss any time during the fantasy playoffs, Hubbard would slide in as a great RB2 option, but with both backs being healthy, Hubbard is very reliant on his passing game usage and finding the end zone.

Pierre Strong (RB) – Patriots:

Damien Harris was inactive for MNF, while Rhamondre Stevenson was quickly ruled out with an ankle injury, leaving the door open for Strong to step in as the next man up.  Kevin Harris took the first snaps after Stevenson was ruled out, but it was Strong who was the vastly better RB for the Patriots. He rattled off multiple double-digit yard runs, including a 44-yarder on his first carry and finished the week as the RB12.  If both of their big dogs miss next weekend’s game, Strong will step in as a decent RB2 option in the first round of fantasy playoffs.
