Wednesday, May the 4th be with all of you especially as we dive into some pivotal game 2s in the conference semifinals. Both home teams took care of business in their opening games.

The Miami Heat are massive favorites yet again as they host the Embiid-less 76ers in game #2. Meanwhile, the Mavericks look to get back on track and even the series as they are only 6-point underdogs facing the Suns.

Both games have the potential to stay close throughout despite the large spreads, making each time a fantastic target for DFS goodness. Without further ado let’s dive into some of my absolute favorite plays.

    Player Tiers

    Expensive Tier

Luka Doncic ($11,400) Coming off a sensational performance in game #1 where he almost single-handedly led the Mavericks to an improbable comeback victory against the Suns, I expect another MVP level performance for Mr. Doncic. This is a perfect game environment for him to rack up assists rebounds and scoring at will. With extra motivation knowing this game can help tip the scales in the Maverick’s favor, I am happy to pay the inflated price here for one of the brightest young stars in the league.

    Mid-Tier

Tyler Herro ($6,800) – This is a play that looked a lot better this morning before the questionable tag was placed on him this afternoon. Herro is the freshly minted sixth man of the year, which means he should have a little extra motivation to go out and prove the award was not a fluke. Coming off his best performance during these 2022 playoffs where he put up 25 points and 7 assists off the bench, look for another strong outing tonight as the Heat will rely on his playmaking and scoring abilities early and often off the bench.

    Value

Maxi Kleber ($4,000) – Going back to the well with the Mavericks here as Kleber should be a key piece of the offense tonight. He played 25 minutes in game #1 and made 5 3pointers making him a high-risk high reward type play in the two-game card. There are certainly no sure things tonight as we look at many bench units with either inflated price tags or inconsistent performances. I believe Kleber has the best opportunity to really shine off the bench for Dallas.
