    Austin Ekeler, Chargers

This is ostensibly the week that Chargers wideouts Mike Williams and Keenan Allen (hamstring) will finally be returning to practice according to head coach Brandon Staley. But, this is the same coach who had us believe for countless weeks that Allen was on the cusp of being back only to see seven donut holes on the schedule through 10 games now. To add to the powder blue offensive maladies, TE Gerald Everett is now day-to-day with a groin injury, but we know how those can linger especially for someone who was ruled out of the game pretty quickly. This is all to say that fantasy managers with Ekeler should brush off the rare single-digit fantasy outing against the league’s top run defense in San Francisco, and those without Ekeler should be offering up the farm to secure his services for the stretch run before your league’s trade deadlines. His usage is going to be heavy over the next four games, which provide juicy matchups including three (Chiefs, Cardinals, Raiders) who are all allowing no better than the 11th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Break out the air guitars.
