Real Madrid have been through a few major tests this season. El Clasico went well for Xabi Alonso, but the Atletico and Liverpool matches exposed some cracks. Outside of individual moments, the La Liga leaders showed very little life at Anfield, and now they head into a tricky trip to face a dangerous Vallecano side. Vallecano didn’t start the season the way they wanted, but this is a team that punched a European ticket last year. They’ll compete in the first half, but it still may not be enough against Real in the end.
