Detroit has been in excellent form, winning nine of its last ten games and sitting in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a 34-27 record. Cade Cunningham has been leading the charge during this stretch, showing excellent all-around play. Utah, meanwhile, is focused on player development, sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 15-45 record. They are clearly in a rebuilding phase, prioritizing draft positioning. Coming off a convincing win against the Nets, the Pistons should have no trouble getting the job done against a Jazz team more focused on the future than immediate results, despite some surprising performances in the past two weeks. Given Detroit’s strong form and playoff aspirations, and Utah’s struggles, I expect a comfortable win for the Pistons.
