NBA: Los Angeles Lakers vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 8pm EST Lakers -7 (-110) 1 unit (Fanatics)
The Lakers come into this matchup riding a four-game winning streak and with most of their main players healthy. Although Rui Hachimura remains sidelined, the team is in excellent form on both ends of the floor. On the other hand, the Pelicans are in a much tougher position, missing several key players and dealing with a depleted rotation. Trey Murphy’s return from injury provides a slight boost, but their overall depth remains a concern. They snapped a six-game losing streak with a win last night against a shorthanded Nuggets team, but sustaining that momentum will be challenging given their limited roster and back-to-back schedule. Considering the significant differences in health and form between these teams, it’s surprising the spread isn’t larger. I expect the Lakers to continue their winning streak and comfortably cover the spread against the undermanned Pelicans.
