San Antonio has dropped three of their last four games, including a close one against Utah where turnovers proved costly. Vassell returned to action after seven months recovering from right foot surgery, while Castle, the fourth pick, reached a personal best with 23 points. Champagnie struggled after his previous breakout, and Sochan is still out. Coach Popovich, sidelined recently due to illness, will also be absent for a while. On the other side, Sacramento has been on a strong run, winning six of their last eight. They rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat Phoenix in overtime, with DeRozan scoring the first eight points in OT and finishing with 34. Sabonis has recorded a double-double in each of the last nine games, and Huerter also stepped up in Monk’s injury. Given both teams’ current form and circumstances, I favor Sacramento who looks stronger on paper and in terms of performance so far in the season to come out on top.
