Paris Olympics 2024 Men’s Basketball Group A: Canada vs. Spain, 11:15am Spain OVER 79.5 Total Points (-120) 1.4 units (DraftKings)
Canada, which won a medal for the first time by beating the United States in the third-place game at the World Cup last year, started by winning two tough games in their first Olympic appearance since 2000. They achieved this with a strong performance in the last quarter against Australia, one of the medal candidates. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues his effective play, and Barrett scored over 20 points in both games, while Jamal Murray hasn’t found his form yet.
Spain could not turn the game around after falling behind early against Australia in the group stage. They won against Greece, even though they couldn’t prevent the 16-point lead from disappearing. They made more two-pointers and had a high percentage of three-pointers. Aldama played great, and the 36-year-old Llull both scored and made crucial shots. Brown, who played poorly in the first match, equaled the national team record with 10 assists this time.
In last year’s World Cup, Canada came from behind in the last quarter to beat Spain. In this matchup, I expect both teams to exceed 80 points, but for the purpose of our bet, we’ll focus on Spain’s scoring.
