Coming off a beatdown of the Chicago Bears, the GB Packers enter as favorites on the road in Atlanta. The Falcons also took care of business in Week 1, defeating the Panthers handily. The debut of Bijan Robinson was exciting, to say the least and he will look to build on an already strong start to his rookie campaign. on the Packers side, Jordan Love looked promising to start the post-Aaron Rodgers era in Wisconsin. Both squads boast strong defenses in the early year and will look to control the ball.
Main Storylines to Watch
Is the Atlanta backfield a 50/50 split? Week 1 saw Tyler Allgeier with 50 percent more carries than Bijan Robinson, however, the latter saw more action in the passing game with six receptions to Allgeier’s three. The Falcons will likely use both often as what shapes up to be the most run-happy team in the league, but will the roles remain the same as they were, or are they just easing in the rookie to dominate the backfield later in the year? Additionally, Cordarrelle Patterson looks to make his return in Week 2, which could shake things up even further.
Can Love keep it up? Jordan Love looked strong, finding the end zone thrice and putting up 245 yards in Week 1. This was boosted greatly by a big-play TD to Aaron Jones, which helped Love reach a higher ceiling for his 2023 debut. Fantasy Managers will need to keep an eye on the young QB to see if the production will continue. A return of Christian Watson would certainly be a boon.
