Fantasy Preview: Packers @ Vikings (9/11/22)

  • Packers (-120) @ Vikings (+1); Total of 46.5

The Vikings will look to finally unseat the Packers as the favorite in the NFC north after what seems like decades of the Packers on top, but they will have to start that process as home dogs. Kirk Cousins is definitely not Aaron Rodgers, but the WR room favors the Vikings by quite a bit while the RB room is comparable.

    Packers

    QB

Aaron Rodgers no longer has Davante Adams in the fold after the Packers sent him to Las Vegas this offseason. A receiving room that is headlined by Allen Lazard doesn’t inspire confidence, but Rodgers remains one of (if not the best) pocket passers in the league. He’s a borderline QB1/QB2 for Week 1, but would stand to get downgraded if Lazard (ankle, doubtful) is ultimately ruled out. If we are playing six points per passing touchdown, that changes the equation and makes Rodgers a clear-cut start regardless of matchup. However, in standard four-point per passing touchdown scoring, he’s a questionable start in 12-teamers.
