Omari SpellmanPF, Minnesota TimberwolvesAdrian Wojnarowski reports that the Wolves will trade Omari Spellman, Jacob Evans and a future second-round pick to the Knicks for Ed Davis.
The Wolves clear out some of their end-of-bench depth and get a more proven NBA contributor in Davis, who should be able to step in to provide energy minutes whenever the Wovles need them. He's also got an outstanding reputation as a teammate and has been beloved in every stop of his career. The Knicks just acquired Davis and will kick the tires on some younger options in Spellman and Evans, though there doesn't look to be a ton of minutes available for either. Perhaps that future pick is the real target here.
