Luke KennardSG, Los Angeles ClippersThe Clippers have officially announced their acquisition of Luke Kennard.
Kennard will be replacing Landry Shamet, who ends up in Brooklyn. It's a nice piece of business for a title-contending team, as Kennard offers deep shooting (as Shamet did) and some intriguing potential as a ball-handler and playmaker (as Shamet did not). The Clippers have been looking at point guard help and while Kennard isn't an exact fit, he should help solve some of the team's problems. A borderline top-100 guy with the Pistons last season, Kennard probably takes a step back on the star-laden Clippers, but Shamet was able to scratch out some late-round appeal so he could remain in the conversation as a late-round asset. The big question here is Kennard's health, as bilateral soreness suffered in December kept him out for the final three months of the season (though he was set to return right when the league shut down.
