Jaren Jackson Jr.PF, Memphis GrizzliesJaren Jackson Jr. (torn left meniscus) will not be ready for the start of the season.
That comes straight from Zach Kleiman, executive VP of Basketball Ops for the Grizzlies. Jackson suffered the injury in early August and the NBA's decision to condense the offseason took away any chance he had of being ready to rock for the 2020-21 campaign. Hopefully he's not going to miss too much of the season, but Memphis figures to play it extremely safe with the talented young forward. You can adjust your fantasy draft boards accordingly. The Grizz have a number of forward types — namely Brandon Clarke, Kyle Anderson, Gorgui Dieng and maybe even Justise Winslow — who should see increased activity while JJJ is out.
