Tyler BeySG, Dallas MavericksThe Mavs will take Colorado's Tyler Bey with the 36th pick in the draft, per Shams Charania.
Bey is an outstanding team defender who has shown fledgling promise as a spot-up threat from deep. The Mavs' lack of wing defenders was a huge issue against top competition last season, and Bey should be able to help with that right from the jump even if he can't contribute much on offense. He actually played a lot of frontcourt in college and will need to adjust to a more perimeter-based role but the defensive versatility gives him a nice floor as an NBA contributor.
