• Taj Gibson
    PF, New York Knicks

Taj Gibson averaged 16.5 mpg across 62 games in his first season for the Knicks and produced 277/266 per-game value in 8/9-cat leagues.

It surprised many that the Knicks chose to start Gibson over second-year player Mitchell Robinson, who only saw seven starts throughout the year. The former USC Trojan averaged 6.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.5 blocks and 0.8 turnovers while shooting .584 from the field and .732 from the charity stripe. The Knicks have a team option for Gibson for the 2020-21 campaign around $10M with $1M guaranteed. It may be in the team's best interest to move on from the 35-year-old in favor of developing young talent but Gibson could be retained if the team feels that he will help in the locker room as a veteran presence. Regardless, Gibson should not be expected to finish higher than the top-250 in any future seasons as he is past his prime.
