• There is good news for the next-to-last week of MLB’s season. The trend for above-average temperatures that I told you about last week will indeed continue through this week. And once again, medium range weather forecast models show above-average temps continuing well into next week, too. Hitters are poised to do better than average for the final two weeks of the season since most areas will avoid the cooler weather that often occurs this time of year. No, these won’t be the best hitting conditions of the year (we left those back in July and August), but they are better than we expect in the second half of September. Let’s see which games will give us the best – and worst – hitting conditions this week so that you know when to start your fringe players.
