    Key Storylines

Tatum’s road-to-MVP campaign begins: After a crazy 37-4-10 performance to open the season by blowing out the New York Knicks, it seems like Jayson Tatum will do everything in his power to have the campaign that sets him as an undeniable best in the NBA, which is something that has been argued upon all basketball fans as of late, right after his first championship win. The MVP is the target, and fantasy manager’s got to love this mentality for them.

Boston seems to be sticking with the same rotations as last year’s, so expect the usuals to see minutes and the second unit being active as well. Don’t fix what’s not broken right?

Couple of veterans and a bunch of kids: Washington’s campaign will start the Brian Keefe era with a young core of talent plus a couple serviceable veterans left like Kyle Kuzma, Malcolm Brogdon (who is injured) and Jonas Valanciunas. Jordan Poole is part of that young core, and will try to replicate more of the performance he had in the second half of the past season rather than the first.

Alex Sarr and Bilal Coulibaly are the main exciting prospects due to their defensive ability, but keep an eye on the Wizards as the season progresses, because multiple opportunities for minutes and production will arise, and whoever can hold them will be a gold mine at least in fantasy production.

    Stream of the Game

Al Horford proved to be a nice stream and minutes shouldn’t stop coming his way anytime soon as Kristaps Porzingis is out for a while. Meanwhile the Wizards are a tough crew to figure out in terms of playing time at the moment, but names like Bilal Coulibaly and Corey Kispert should see the floor and produce a decent amount.

Alternatives: Bub Carrington (points, assists), Marvin Bagley III (points, rebounds), Payton Pritchard (points, assists), Sam Hauser – if he overcomes a questionable tag (points, 3s).
