    Key Storylines

Maybe the Spurs forwards aren’t working that well: I’m guilty of trusting San Antonio’s cast on the wings too much, and it has cost me (almost) everything if we want to get dramatic. Devin Vassell has been very good as expected, but Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan and Harrison Barnes have not lived up to the opportunities they had, and this past week they’ve been very weak not only in fantasy, but in real life basketball too, which has led to extra minutes for Julian Champagnie and Sandro Mamukelashvili, who have been even better than them over the past few games.

I’m not saying to not pursue Spurs forwards, I’m just saying there’s a chance it backfires, like it did to me and a lot of other managers. Beware of your options.

Evan Mobley is getting some rest: The star big-man will be getting Thursday off as a part of Cleveland’s rest system to preserve all of their key players, Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen have all gone through this at multiple points of the season. It sucks that it has to be this way, but at least they’re not as bad as the Utah Jazz.

Ty Jerome (knee) is questionable to make the match, which is another important fantasy piece in jeopardy of costing production for their managers, but with how good the point-guard has been playing, I think it’s totally OK if he really needs the rest. With Mobley out, Dean Wade and Javonte Green could see extra minutes off the bench, however, don’t expect big-time performances from them any time soon. De’Andre Hunter is who you want, if he isn’t already rostered.

    Stream of the Game

Ty Jerome would be my pick here if he wasn’t potentially missing the game, so Max Strus will have to do, maybe I’ll still consider Keldon Johnson if you need the points.

Alternatives: Jeremy Sochan (points, rebounds, stocks), Harrison Barnes (points, 3s, rebounds), Julian Champagnie (points, 3s, rebounds, steals), Sandro Mamukelashvili (points, 3s), Bismack Biyombo (rebounds, blocks), Sam Merrill (3s, steals).
