Key Storylines

Alex Caruso is out: The freshly renewed guard has been ruled out of the game against the Pacers due to a left hip strain suffered in the fourth quarter of Monday’s win against the Wizards. With Caruso out, expect Cason Wallace and Isaiah Joe to see increased minutes. Jaylin Williams also came back from a hamstring injury but he won’t move the needle in fantasy unless you’re in a very deep league.

Myles Turner is questionable: Indiana’s star center is questionable for Thursday’s game against Oklahoma with an oblique contusion, and could miss the match if his injury doesn’t show enough progress by the time tip-off comes around

If he misses the match, look out for Obi Toppin and Thomas Bryant to get increased minutes in the match.

Stream of the Game

Andrew Nembhard and Obi Toppin are the top picks for this matchup, much more so if Myles Turner is confirmed to miss the game.

Alternatives: Cason Wallace (points, assists, steals), Isaiah Joe (points, 3s), T.J. McConnell (points, rebounds, assists, steals).

Key Storylines

Jimmy Butler’s exit is right on the corner: The biggest buzz currently traveling NBA insiders is that Jimmy Butler wants to be traded as soon as possible, which is why it’s not surprising that his status for Thursday’s game is doubtful due to ”return to competition conditioning” as per Miami’s latest injury report.

As well, Terry Rozier (knee) is questionable, and Josh Richardson (heel) is out of the match. If Butler and Rozier are confirmed to miss the match, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Nikola Jovic will be the main targets for an increase in minutes and production.

Many alternatives for Orlando: With Moritz Wagner missing the rest of the season due to a knee injury, and while Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner (oblique) remain out until further notice, the Magic have a lot of options for streaming currently.

Goga Bitadze is basically a no-go for a streamer due to his rostering percentage skyrocketing as of late, which is justified as he seems set to be the Magic’s main big man for the time being. This leaves Wendell Carter Jr. as the backup center option, which is still a role that’s going to get a lot of minutes, making him a decent option.

Outside of Jalen Suggs, anyone in the Magic’s backcourt can produce but they will most likely be inconsistent: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Anthony Black and even Cole Anthony can all add up something to your team, just temper your expectations.

Stream of the Game

Nikola Jovic (if Butler remains out) and Wendell Carter Jr. are my choices for a stream in this match. Heat players are a decent buy with Jimmy Butler possibly being out of the equation in the long run.

Alternatives: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (points, 3s, steals), Anthony Black (points, assists, steals), Cole Anthony (points, assists, rebounds), Duncan Robinson (points, 3s).

Charlotte Hornets @ Washington Wizards

Key Storylines

Brandon Miller is questionable: Missing three games in row with an ankle injury, the sophomore star is tagged as questionable for Thursday’s match vs. the Wizards, which is a good sign after being ruled out directly in the previous matches.

However, if he’s a no-go, Cody Martin is the play for a stream, as the rest of the options for the Hornets are even worse on paper.

Lots of options don’t always mean a good opportunity: The Wizards continue to rule out Kyle Kuzma with a rib injury and Marvin Bagley III (knee) will also miss the game.

Three key pieces are also in doubt for Thursday’s game. Bilal Coulibaly (groin), Alex Sarr (back) and Carlton Carrington (hip) are all listed as questionable and the first two already missed a game earlier in the week, while Carlton left the Monday game injured.

We’ll have to see what status they carry before the tip-off, but in the hypothetical situation that the three miss the match, the streaming options are plenty but far from ideal. Justin Champagnie, Corey Kispert and Keyshawn George will be set for big minute counts, but the production is far from a guarantee.

Stream of the Game

It’s a very high-risk, low-reward kind of game, and it all depends on last-minute updates. If Brandon Miller is out, I’ll go with Cody Martin. You have a cast of options for the Wizards with Corey Kispert being the most reliable of the bunch.

Alternatives: Justin Champagnie (points, rebounds, steals), Kyshawn George( points, 3s, steals) .

Chicago Bulls @ Atlanta Hawks
