NOTE: The cutoff point will be 50% rostered in NFBC Rotowire Championship leagues (12-teams). The players will be listed in order of rostership.
NOTE NO. 2 – I will update this article Saturday night and/or Sunday morning with more names I have not gotten to yet, including a list of minimum/low-priority bids to find excellent value.
Trevor Rogers – P – BAL – 43%
His start on Sunday vs. the Braves probably doesn’t change his value headed into this week with a matchup with the Marlins on tap for the coming up week. While the Marlins have decent numbers vs. LHP (actually better than the Braves), they do hit into a ton of ground balls (46.1% GB% over the last 39 days vs. southpaws), and are eighth in soft contact in this span. The ground ball rate plays right in to Rogers’ 45.9% ground ball rate this year as he also misses barrels nicely at a 4.9% clip. He could be an interesting second half waiver wire pitcher with a 20.9% K%, 7.0% BB%, 3.00 FIP and 3.21 xERA.
Recommendation – 12-team – 4-5%
