Shane Bieber – P – TOR – 4%

Welcome back Mr. Bieber! He earned 15 whiffs as the fastball velocity was up a tick with 18-19″ of IVB. He went six innings and allowed just one earned run, two hits and no walks with nine Ks. This velo and IVB are what we saw from him in 2021 where he returned a 3.17 ERA (3.21 SIERA) and a 33.1% K%. Now being the first start back, there could have been some adrenaline here but it isn’t like he blew us away as 92 is a reasonable velo to expect from him. And the Jays gave him all the time in the world in terms of rehab starts so he should be ready to rock and roll.

Recommendation – most, if not all of your FAAB.
