The 2025 New Orleans Saints could quite easily be the worst team in the entire NFL. Nothing epitomizes this possibility more than the way they handled their QB situation this offseason. They decided to run it back with Derek Carr, but didn’t really ask Carr’s opinion on the matter, and months later, Carr retired. They drafted Tyler Shough to pair with incumbent Spencer Rattler, forming easily the worst QB room in the league. They have a pair of stalwart veteran fantasy producers in RB Alvin Kamara and WR Chris Olave, but beyond that duo, there’s not much to write home about here. Perhaps rookie head coach Kellen Moore can find a few diamonds in the rough.
Player most likely to beat ADP: WR Chris Olave (ADP 71, WR37)
The Saints only have two players going in the top 120 in drafts in Olave and Kamara. Of the two, I prefer Olave at cost. The concussion run is concerning, but if he stays healthy, he’s going to easily outperform this ADP, even if he has the worst QB play in the league. If either of Shough or Rattler are any good at all, Olave could easily finish in the top 15 or 20 at WR, making a nearly 7th-round ADP a screaming bargain. The concerns about his health and this offense are warranted, but he’s an easy upside bet right now at cost.
Player most likely to fade based on ADP: RB Alvin Kamara (ADP 47, RB17)
I want to preface this by saying I’d still draft Kamara where he’s going, especially the more points you get for receptions in your league. Kamara isn’t that good of a running back anymore, but his prolific receiving work is what makes him a fantasy weapon. I don’t see how that volume necessarily decreases, but we are talking about a 30-year-old RB, so we’re out over the edge of the age cliff. It’s hard to pick a fade on a team with so few highly drafted players, but I prefer Olave to Kamara at cost.
