Welcome to Friday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds for 12/20! We only have a few games on tonight, but there’s still gems to find! Let’s get into it!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Kelly Oubre, SG,SF, PHI (43% rostered)
Tonight: 39 minutes, 22 points (8-of-10 FG, 2-for-3 FT), five rebounds, two assist, one steal, four treys
Analysis: “Trusty Oubre”, that’s what they call him – right? Regardless of who is in the lineup, Oubre continues to be productive on the court. He shared a team-high 39 minutes played against the Hornets with a lineup that featured 31 minutes of Joel Embiid. He’s shooting 46% on the season, so the 80% from the field won’t stick around but it definitely helps round out his box score. With Embiid already scheduled to miss Saturday’s game, Oubre will continue to see opportunity and should definitely be owned in more than 50% of leagues at this point.
Lu Dort, SG,SF, OKC (31% rostered)
Tonight: 32 minutes, 14 points (5-of-7 FG), one rebounds, two steals, four treys
Analysis: While Dort didn’t “wow” in any particular category against the Heat, he’s a little too consistent to leave off this list – plus the 2 steals are above average for a player in a standard leagues. He’s scored double-digits in four of his last five games and is averaging slightly below 30 minutes played in a pretty high scoring offense which will keep his name on the radar for most leagues. He’s definitely a streamer right now but could be a short-term hold depending on how badly you need steals.
