• With a 6-game slate on deck, tonight is loaded with must-watch fantasy stories, from the potential return of LeBron James and critical injury reports out of Detroit to players ready to fill massive voids left by sidelined stars. Let’s dig in and strategize how you can best capture the value on this volatile night.

    Top Pickups

This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.

    Andre Drummond (25%)

Drummond’s recent play, culminating in a colossal 14-point, 18-rebound effort with a steal across nearly 38 minutes of action on Monday, absolutely cements his spot on your fantasy roster. The big man is posting production that makes his current 25% ownership feel like a genuine market inefficiency. Now, look, we all understand that Joel Embiid’s looming return casts a certain shadow over Drummond’s long-term outlook and we haven’t even touched on Adem Bona’s ankle issue, which forces him out for at least a few games, compounding Philadelphia’s sudden dearth of size. But what’s truly fascinating here, the real juice in the discussion, is how spry the veteran center looks; this isn’t the lumbering Drummond of years past.

The uptick in his physical conditioning, call it getting into true game shape for the first time in what feels like forever, means that his historically elite per-minute numbers are now translating into genuine, high-volume fantasy goodness. Forget the famous last words; the Sixers’ coaching staff is actually incorporating him into the offense, running corner pin-downs and making him a dangerous asset when he’s on the floor. While there are certainly no guarantees that the minutes will hold up across the entire year, Drummond is a necessary acquisition right now. Given Embiid’s history of sitting out one half of back-to-backs, holding him in anticipation of those inevitable rest days and until Bona is fully recovered/competing for Drummond’s rotation minutes, is a simple, high-leverage move that should deliver easy late-round value the rest of the season, with the very real possibility of much more.

    Isaiah Jackson (10%)
