• The injury landscape continues to shift across the league, with a few notable setbacks and cautious optimism sprinkled in. Anthony Black underwent an MRI yesterday that confirmed a left lateral abdominal muscle strain. His return timeline is still fluid, hinging on how his body responds to treatment, while Franz Wagner is inching forward in rehab from his left high ankle sprain, though the Magic remain cautious on setting any firm dates. John Collins has returned to on-court work, but heโ€™s expected to be out all week for the Clippers as he continues to nurse a neck strain. Meanwhile, Andrew Nembhardโ€™s lower back soreness keeps him doubtful, Pascal Siakam is sidelined with a right knee sprain, and Jarace Walker is listed as probable despite battling a right ankle sprain and mid-back soreness.

On the 76ers front, Nick Nurse noted that VJ Edgecombe was on the court at shootaround, a small but encouraging sign that his return could be imminent. Conversely, Egor Dรซminโ€™s season has come to a premature end due to worsening plantar fasciitis in his left foot, though the expectation is that heโ€™ll be ready for summer development programs. Over in Cleveland, Kevin Porter Jr. is once again out with right knee synovitis, while LeBron James remains questionable with a right hip contusion and ongoing left foot arthritis.

In this edition of the cheat sheet, weโ€™ll break down all of these injuries and highlight potential adds, key storylines, and streamers heading into tonight.

    Top Pickups

This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.

    De’Anthony Melton (18%)

Is he finally past the back-to-back restrictions? Itโ€™s starting to look that way. De’Anthony Melton has quietly been a must-roster player for a while now, but the intermittent rest days have kept him floating on waiver wires in some leagues. If the schedule management is easing, and the early signs suggest it is, that loophole is about to close quickly. Meltonโ€™s combination of defensive stats, threes, and steady scoring plays in virtually every fantasy format, and even with Stephen Curry hopefully nearing a return, thereโ€™s little reason to think Meltonโ€™s role evaporates. Golden State has leaned on his connective play and defensive activity far too much to simply scale him back to irrelevance.

Zoom out over the past two months and the value is already there. By totals, Melton sits around top-110 in 8-cat formats, averaging 15.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 1.8 threes, even while shooting a modest 42.8% from the field. That profile, particularly the steals and threes combo, is exactly the type of category juice that can swing weekly matchups. The efficiency isnโ€™t pristine, but the across-the-board production more than compensates. Simply put: he already belonged on rosters, and if Melton is somehow still sitting on your wire, itโ€™s time to fix that immediately.

    Brook Lopez (19%)
