We’re heading into the final two days of head-to-head matchups, and for many of you there are basically 48 hours left in the fantasy season unless the next couple of days go well. It is going to be a week that many managers never forget — anyone who was impacted by Bam Adebayo will have a story to tell one way or another — but there’s still time to change the outcome.
It’s the playoffs, so you have to do what you have to do. If that means dropping some guys you really don’t want to drop in order to max out your weekly acquisitions, you have to do it. The Pelicans in particular stand out as a team to monitor on this front. They’re done for the week and you might have to make some uncomfortable calls (After a horrendous week, maybe dropping Saddiq Bey won’t be so difficult).
There’s never a bad time to do the following, but it is a great time to map out the remaining two days for your and your opponent. See which categories are in reach based on who each team has in the lineup. See if there’s a volume disparity that can change the calculus. Go make the moves it takes to stay in the fight. And here’s hoping you get some good injury luck.

Top Pickups
This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.
Keon Ellis (10%)
Ellis is getting minutes and unsurprisingly posting some big numbers. It remains insane that the moribund Kings could not at least squint and see how Ellis would help them, but here we are — they also took on more long-term salary in the deal to shed Ellis, somehow. On Friday he had 13 points (5-of-9 FG), three rebounds, a steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 26 minutes, and would’ve played more had the Cavs not blown Dallas out of the water. It takes Ellis about 20 minutes to be interesting in fantasy and he’s now getting much more than that on a well-built, well-coached roster. He’s top-60 in the last month. It’s amazing how much team context matters.
Javon Small (14%)
