As the season winds down, I like to think I have a good idea of what most players are and where they are heading to in their career. I would be lying to you all if I said that. There are a batch of players that still puzzle me for number of reasons. It can be flattering highlights, stats that seem to overstate their on-court impact, or a belief that youth always develops.
I decided to dive right in the deep end with five players that I still struggle with ranking for dynasty. I hope to bring a nuanced look at these players, describing all the positives they do bring for fantasy while also citing my concerns. Let’s cut to the chase and get right into it!
All stats are as of 3/9 and from Basketball Reference unless otherwise stated.
Trey Murphy III
Whatโs there to be confused about with Murphy? Do you not like players putting up 22.0 points on 47.3% from the field and 3.3 triples a game to boot? Why would I care that he doesnโt compile the most assists or boards or blocks when he has such clear strengths elsewhere?
What’s the dynasty deal with Trey Murphy? Ausar Thompson? Matas Buzelis? Mark C can help, but you’ll need to have an Ethos 360, All-Sport or NBA FantasyPass membership. Click here to learn more and sign up!ย Premium Access Required ย
