Welcome back, fantasy freaks. I encourage you to take some of the down time during the holiday season to go shopping in your fantasy basketball leagues and offer up some trades. I call it โfantasy fishingโ. Throw a few lines in the water and see if you get any bites. One of these whimsical trade offers could end up making the difference between first place and runner-up in your league.
Sell High
Kristaps Porzingis
KP is absolutely ballin’ through nine games this season, with a PRA of 19-7-2, 2.1 threes, 1.6 blocks and 0.9 steals per game. We know Porzingis is a goodie guy when healthy, but therein lies the rub. I donโt trust Porzingis because of the countless periods of inactivity and I am programmed to fade him at every turn.
He hasnโt played both sides of a back-to-back and I highly doubt the Celtics will need to do that at any point this season. KP will be a high-maintenance player in the second half as the Celtics begin preparations for the playoffs, which will lead to rest games. Porzingis has been back long enough for other managers to possibly grow more comfortable with his long-term prospects and thatโs where you pounce with a sell-high offer.
Trade targets: Pascal Siakam, Bam Adebayo and Isaiah Hartestein.
