2025 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Vol. 5

  • The NFL season is fulling underway, with another multitude of big time injuries that will sideline RBs like Bucky Irving, Trey Benson and Chubba Hubbard. Teams are starting to adjust the way they utilize their personnel, with players earning more playing time at the expense of others. Now’s the time to fire away on the wire, some some clear options as well as some depth you should be eyeing earlier than the rest of your league. Had you been over the past couple of weeks, you wouldn’t have to fight for this week’s top priority.

    The Crown Jewel

Michael Carter, ARI (39%) – In Week 5 Carter saw 23 touches and racked up 71 yards with a TD.  Emari Demercardo only saw three carries and had a stupid goal-line fumble.  Carter saw the receiving work as well as he had five receptions for 22 yards. Carter played 59% of the snaps and that should even go up over the next couple of weeks.  He’s not a must-start each week, but he’s close and the schedule is boom-or-bust over the next couple of weeks.  (FAAB: 20%)

    Quarterbacks

Sam Darnold, SEA (31%) – Darnold leads the league in both EPA per play and completion percent over expected.  He has multiple touchdowns in 3-of-5 games and has scored at least 15 points in all but one contest.  He’s got a true WR1 to hyper-target and the only thing that keep him from putting up big fantasy lines each week is the lean towards being a run-heavy team.  (FAAB: 1QB 0%)

Bryce Young, CAR (19%) – Young hasn’t been great this season and has been under 15 fantasy points in three straight games.  The thing is the schedule really opens up.  CAR gets the Jets after Dallas. New York ranks dead last in EPA per drop-back allowed, one spot below the Cowboys.. (FAAB: 1QB 2%)
