• Russell Westbrook
    PG, Houston Rockets

Marc Stein is reporting that the Knicks are one of the few teams that would be a viable destination for Russell Westbrook.

Being viable — which in this case means being able to absorb the over $130 million on Westbrook's deal — does not equate to full-fledged interest, mind you. The Knicks have reportedly weighed it, and there is a potential deal to be made should they decide to build their team around Westbrook, but the exact level of interest is yet to be determined. It's been said that the Knicks are operating in a more pragmatic manner since Leon Rose took over, so this trade might not fit the team's new vision despite feeling like a very Knicks-y idea.
