• Luke Kennard
    SG, Detroit Pistons

James Edwards III of The Athletic reports that Luke Kennard (bilateral knee soreness) has been made available in trade talks.

Kennard is a young-ish, deadeye shooter who comes in at a reasonable $5.2 million salary for next year. The inclusion of Kennard into a possible blockbuster deal is intended to make the package more palatable for any team trying to trade for Andre Drummond, who is set to become a free agent this offseason after he declines his player option. Kennard's knee issues have been well documented this season and the emergence of Svi Mykhailiuk likely made the former Blue Devil expendable, but Detroit has a few more viable trade candidates ahead of him to consider moving, plus it would be difficult to move a player currently rehabbing from knee tendinitis. The Pistons have some of the more exciting second-half breakout candidates in the league in Svi, Christian Wood and Bruce Brown, so file this report away and be ready to pounce if and when a trade happens.
