Weather Impacts on Your Fantasy Players (July 24-30)

  • The next couple weeks are typically the hottest weeks of the year in many cities, so hitting conditions should be about as good as possible. That’s certainly the case this week as a heat wave gradually spreads across the Midwest and East Coast areas. Rain impacted several games last week but chances for rain appear lower at most ballparks this week. Let’s check out the best-of-the-best hitting conditions this week and identify the one team that faces the worst hitting conditions (by far!).

Targets: This Week’s Best Hitting Environments

This will be the hottest week of the season thus far at many MLB host sites. Some particularly great hitting conditions will occur mid/late week as the heat wave expands in the U.S.

    • Seattle at Minnesota (Wednesday; temperatures near 100 with high humidity – bad conditions for the fans but great for your hitters!)
    • Colorado at Washington (Wednesday; 90-95 degrees and humid)
    • Kansas City at Cleveland (Wednesday; 90-95 degrees and humid)
    • Minnesota at Kansas City (Friday-Sunday; 95-100 degrees and outbound breezes – should be much better than normal hitting conditions at Kauffman Stadium)
    • Chicago Cubs at St. Louis (Friday-Sunday; 90-95 and humid each game)
    • Milwaukee at Atlanta (Friday-Sunday; 90-95 and humid each game)
