The Grizzlies defense has really stepped it up during this 5 game win streak. From the start of the season until late November they were near the bottom of the league, since November 26th, they are the second best defense in the league. Dillon, Desmond, Jaren and Adams have all elevated their game since Ja went out. The question of the day is, can they maintain this kind of energy when Ja returns? David and Isaac are postgame after the Grizz beat the Heat in Miami.
In this episode Sam Orlik recaps the last few games where the Warriors have now dropped 2 out of their last 3 and the sky is falling. Or is it just another regular season game and we shouldn’t overact? Tune in and find out more!
The Kings had, at last, a decent week of basketball! In beating the current 5th seeded Clippers in back-to-back games, Sacramento moved themselves within 1 game of the 10th seed, and just 2 out of 5th (!). Take away two blow-out losses to Memphis and the Lakers, and this team has played some inspired basketball under Alvin Gentry.

Before this depressing Kings season began, we brought some great guests on the show to preview what lied ahead. Now, just past the quarter mark of the 2021 NBA year, we recruit some new people to help us vent about this weird team.
Joining us for our Friday show are: the legend John Bull, who was a part of our original roundtable discussion, Mirann Tsumura (Kings Herald writer and “dramatic” Kings fan), and Trevor Cancilla (a Kings diehard whose Twitter feed is filled with terrific sports takes).
We banter about the current state of this team, Alvin Gentry, where we think this season is going, and who we’d love to see Monte McNair acquire via trade. Then, as is custom, we end with “Jill’s Water Cooler.”
The guys discuss James Harden getting HOT, Nets owning New York (BING BONG), Joe Harris ankle surgery and Nic Claxton being back. Plus, Griffin versus Millsap and predictions for Wolves and Bulls games!
