Lean: 11-10-1 +0.69uAnother division rivalry game, and I’m expecting some good stuff for this one. Jordan Love played great in the last one and the Lions have played great all season. I’m expecting some fireworks here with this game meaning just a bit more. The injury bug has hit the Packers with Aaron Jones doubtful and Luke Musgrave having to rush to the hospital with a lacerated kidney. That should put some additional burden on the remaining weapons in Green Bay.
Main Storylines to Watch
Men Down: We should get a healthy dose of AJ Dillon in the backfield for the Packers while we can probably ignore the tight end position in this one with Luke Musgrave out. The Packers are trending from underdog to heavy underdog with the missing skill players. We saw the Lions, and Jared Goff, struggle mightily in the first half of the last one with turnovers and an inability to get the ball down the field. The Packers defense is decent, but if the Lions are clicking it’s going to be difficult for the Pack to stay in this one.
GoffWatch: We saw some bad with Jared Goff last game against the Bears with an unfortunate three interceptions. As long as he can take care of the football, the Lions should be able to waltz out of here with a win. What was impressive was that Goff, at this stage in his career, tightened his cleats and drove the ball twice down the field to secure his team the win. You know how I feel about the “Goff is better at home” take, but it is a home game here if you put stock into that.
