Interesting Starting Pitcher Profiles

Welcome to 2024 everyone! For those of you just beginning your fantasy baseball prep, I am here to highlight some starting pitchers that I find more interesting than others. This may be because they have either been the talk of fantasy baseball throughout the winter, or perhaps I don’t think they’ve been getting discussed nearly enough. I will be reviewing 10 starting pitchers, seven of whom I don’t expect to draft too much of in 2024 (Buyer Beware), and three that I have already drafted and will be open to drafting again come March FAAB drafts (Overlooked). You may be wondering why I didn’t pick five positives and five negatives, no, it’s not because I’m a negative person. It is just that when it comes to fantasy baseball drafts (or any fantasy sport for that matter) I think it is much more important to avoid the players that fail to live up to their draft costs than it is to hit on the big breakouts. Yes, ideally you want to do both, but did every team that drafted Ronald Acuna or Bobby Witt in 2023 win their league? Of course not. But if you drafted someone like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Mike Trout, or Jacob deGrom you would’ve had to hit on some late picks to make up for the underwhelming seasons they provided. So, with all that out of the way, here are 10 starting pitchers you may want to take a second look at before heading into your 2024 drafts.
