    Panthers @ Rams

    Key Storylines/What to Watch

The big story for the Panthers is the firing of head coach Matt Rhule earlier in the week. He coached them to an 11-27 record with no hope of anything resembling competence in sight. The Panthers will also be without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield as he was ruled out with an ankle injury just hours after the firing. P.J. Walker looks to be the quarterback the Panthers will rely on and while he has shown some things in the past for this team, being one of Rhule’s college quarterbacks, this matchup will likely prove to be too much to handle for the veteran.

Los Angeles will be seeing red after yet another embarrassing loss in primetime this time at the hand of the Dallas Cowboys. The Rams don’t lose in consecutive weeks under coach Sean McVay often and should bounce back in dominant fashion against a reeling Panthers team looking forward to the offseason and an early round draft pick.

    Top Starts

Christian McCaffrey: McCaffrey has seen 16 targets in the Panthers last two games and looks like he will take on an even greater role with the third string quarterback at the helm. We should expect a dominant showing for fantasy as the Panthers have very few options on offense to compete with the defending Super Bowl champs.

Cooper Kupp: This comes as no surprise as Kupp has been the WR1 in fantasy so far this season. He has only seen less than 10 targets once this season with less than 122 yards once as well, making him the no-brainer obvious play in your WR spot. If he’s on your roster, congratulations.

Tyler Higbee: Higbee comes into play again as a tight end that is seeing massive volume which is a rarity at this time for fantasy. He has yet to score a touchdown this season, but with the target share he receives, the time for a touchdown will come sooner rather than later.

    Boom/Bust Dart-Throw

D.J. Moore: If you have been hanging on this long to the struggling Moore, you could do worse than to see how the new quarterback looks throwing to him. Baker was seen as the best quarterback Moore has played with and that has been a disaster so far, maybe it will be Walker that unlocks Moore.
