Working the Wire is working its way to an end for this season and itโs been a lot of fun, as well as heartbreaking for a lot of you who have players like Nikola Jokic, Jaylen Brown and any other stud that chose to take the last several games off.
Iโm in the 30-Deep Finals against SportsEthosโ own Mike Passador, and Iโm in a finals matchup against Stephen Malkmus in the 14-team Forge Chain Net league. If I win either one of those matchups, I will be thrilled and if I can somehow beat Passador, I would win 30-Deep in back-to-back seasons. In any case, here are some of the hot waiver pickups as we head into Week 23.
Iโm going to focus on teams playing four times this week: Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards.
Brooklyn Nets
Keon Johnson 23% rostered in Yahoo! Leagues
Johnson had 17 points, four boards, three steals and three 3-pointers on Saturday and could finish strong if he can go four times this week.
Ziaire Williams (hamstring) missed Saturdayโs game but had been playing well, scoring in double figures in five straight and racking up 22 points and six triples before the injury. Williams played on Monday, which is a good sign, and heโs only rostered in 23% of Yahoo! Leagues.
DโAngelo Russell (ankle) was out on Monday, making him a very risky play this week.
Trendon Watford is cooking right now, going for 26 points, five boards and two 3-pointers on Saturday. Heโs hit double figures in four straight and I picked him up for my Forge Chain Final. Heโs just 4% rostered.
Jalen Wilson had gone scoreless in two straight, but did have 13 points and six boards on Saturday.
Tyrese Martin has scored in single digits in four of his last five games but did have four rebounds, five dimes and three triples on Saturday. But, as of now, it looks like Watford may be the guy to get from Brooklyn.
Cleveland Cavaliers
