Rank Player Team Opponent Notes 1 Josh Allen BUF NYJ Week 1’s 4th quarter binge shows why he’s still the king 2 Lamar Jackson BAL CLE Can’t believe they lost that game, but Lamar could easily be the guy you need at QB this year 3 Jalen Hurts PHI KC Barely passed to his top WRs and still had a great game. Might be matchup proof this year. 4 Joe Burrow CIN JAC Should be a better matchup for Burrow this week. Sticking with my priors here. 5 Jayden Daniels WAS GB This is a huge litmus test of whether GB is the QB matchup to avoid going forward,. 6 Kyler Murray ARI CAR Panthers are still my favorite matchup to target until further notice, and Murray had a solid Week 1 against another bad team 7 Justin Fields NYJ BUF Fields wasn’t just a great fantasy QB in Week 1, he was a great real QB. Lamar lit up the Bills, so I’d expect more production from Fields. 8 Drake Maye NE MIA Daniel Jones lit these guys up. Not sure it’ll always be that bad, but Maye is a great choice this week. 9 Justin Herbert LAC LVR Looked like a different caliber of player in Brazil. He could move into the upper echelon of fantasy QBs if it continues. 10 Baker Mayfield TB HOU Tougher matchup for Mayfield this week, but he’s still got the playmakers to capitalize. 11 Patrick Mahomes KC PHI Tough matchup and his weapons are depleted, but he still succeeded last week in tough circumstances. 12 Dak Prescott DAL NYG Prescott is 13-2 in his career against the Giants. Hard to square how well he played last week with his stats. I’m playing him this week. 13 Trevor Lawrence JAC CIN Like this matchup for Lawrence, but need him to have a big game to keep popping up on the streaming radar. 14 Bo Nix DEN IND Nix was shaky in Week 1, and it’s something to monitor, but this should be a cushy bounce back spot. 15 Jordan Love GB WAS Love looked great in Week 1, but he has some injuries worth monitoring in his pass-catching group. With the short week, it makes me nervous. 16 Caleb Williams CHI DET Thought Williams was poor as an actual QB Monday, but his rushing upside looks higher than ever. 17 Jared Goff DET CHI There’s significant concern here, but I expect the Lions to bounce back at home quite a bit this week. 18 C.J. Stroud HOU TB Concerning lack of Nico Collins in Week 1, but should still pass a ton. 19 Michael Penix ATL MIN Bad matchup, but his fantasy ceiling appears to be on the rise. 20 J.J. McCarthy MIN ATL Still wary of just exactly what McCarthy is as an NFL producer, but hard not to be somewhat intrigued by how he closed MNF. 21 Geno Smith LVR LAC Think Smith might be a rock solid, underrated producer this year as long as his weapons stay healthy. Chargers matchup seems tough though 22 Bryce Young CAR ARI This is my last stand with Young. This should be a pretty easy matchup, and if he struggles mightily again, he’s going to be a permanent fixture in the bottom three. 23 Aaron Rodgers PIT SEA One of the players of the week last week, but that’s a tough matchup that might see him fall back to earth. 24 Matthew Stafford LAR TEN Old guy has still got it, but his upside still isn’t what you’d like it to be, especially with the back issues. 25 Daniel Jones IND DEN Loved seeing Jones have a huge game in Week 1, but this Denver matchup will likely put a damper on that mini breakout. 26 Joe Flacco CLE BAL Flacco is going to throw the ball a ton as long as he starts in Cleveland. He’s more of a volume supporter than a fantasy starter. 27 Russell Wilson NYG DAL I like targeting Dallas as a QB matchup, but this version of Wilson is a tough sell. 28 Sam Darnold SEA PIT This matchup and his Week 1 performance leave me with little interest in Darnold until further notice. 29 Tua Tagovailoa MIA NE Impossible to trust him after he laid an almighty egg against the Colts last week. With Tyreek’s status up in the air, it’s a stay away. 30 Cam Ward TEN LAR Just a brutal first game for Ward, but Denver can do that. Unfortunately, so can the Rams. 31 Mac Jones SF NO If you’re starting Mac Jones in fantasy football in 2025, you might be beyond saving. 32 Spencer Rattler NO SF SF D corralled the Seahawks quite well in Week 1, leaving very little upside for a fringe guy like Rattler.
