Patrick Mahomes – Chiefs – Knee
Mahomes sustained a season ending knee injury late in Sunday’s Chiefs’ loss to the Chargers. He had surgery on Monday to repair a torn ACL and LCL and this is an injury that could impact his 2026 season as well. Gardner Minshew will take over as the starter for the remainder of the season. He still has fantasy relevant skill players around him but it will impact their fantasy values as well. Minshew will have no fantasy value and if managers are not carrying a backup quarterback, immediately go to the waiver wire to grab one.Â
Zonovan Knight – Bengals – Ankle
Zonovan Knight suffered a significant ankle sprain in Sunday’s Cardinals’ loss to the Texans and he is unlikely to play in Week 16. With James Conner out for the season and Trey Benson not being let back into action due to the team’s record, Michael Carter and Emari DeMercado will assume backfield duties and it’s presumed that they will split the duties. Despite a decent fantasy matchup against the Falcons, a split backfield between a pair of unproven backs is never a way to go and managers should only pick up one or both backs if they need to use them.
Devin Neal – Saints – Hamstring
Neal sustained a hamstring injury in Sunday’s win over the Panthers and did not return. There has been no firm update as of yet on Neal but with hamstrings and the Saints out of contention, the prospect of him playing on Sunday seems unlikely. If he is unable to go, and with Alvin Kamara already out, the Saints will likely turn to Audric Estime as their starting running back. Estime will have low end RB2/FLEX appeal if he starts with a favorable matchup against the Jets.
Bhayshul Tuten – Jaguars – Finger
Tuten suffered a finger injury in the Jaguars’ win over the Jets on Sunday and he may need surgery. While Travis Etienne is still the clear cut top back for the Jaguars, Tuten had still found the end zone in two of his last three games to give him some FLEX value. LeQuint Allen would become the Jaguars’ second running back and would be worth picking up as a handcuff to Etienne.Â
Woody Marks – Texans – AnkleÂ
Marks aggravated the ankle injury he’s been battling through and did not return to the game. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said that Marks is fine and was held out as a precaution due to a big lead. If Marks doesn’t suit up Sunday, with Nick Chubb also hurt, Dare Ogunbowale would be in line to start and just like Audric Estime, would have RB2/FLEX value in a favorable matchup against the Raiders.Â
Davante Adams – Rams – HamstringÂ
Adams suffered a hamstring injury in the Rams’ win over the Lions and did not return. Adams will miss Tuesday’s walk through in preparation for Thursday night’s crucial matchup with the Seahawks. He will be given every chance to play but managers should not expect him to be able to suit up for this one with the quick turnaround. Puka Nacua should see an increased target share and if Adams’ can’t go, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington should see increased snap shares but neither will have much fantasy value against a difficult Seahawks’ defense.Â
Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III – Bears – Foot
Odunze has been battling a foot injury and was scratched just a couple of minutes before the Bears kicked off against the Browns on Sunday. He is now being listed as week to week and looks like he will not suit up on Saturday when they host the Packers.Â
Burden suffered an ankle injury and is considered day to day at this point. If he is also unable to go, then Olamide Zaccheus would assume number two wideout duties behind DJ Moore and he will be a viable FLEX option on Saturday when the Bears host a Packers defense that will look vastly different without star pass rusher Micah Parsons, which could open up plenty more opportunities for the Bears’ offense.
Christian Watson – Packers – Chest, ShoulderÂ
Watson sustained chest and shoulder injuries attempting for a diving catch in Sunday’s loss to the Broncos. He was taken to the hospital for further evaluation and it was revealed that he did not sustain any serious injuries. However, with a short week and the Packers playing on Saturday, there is some doubt for his status in a crucial divisional matchup against the Bears. If Watson can’t go, Jayden Reed will take on top wideout duties but look for Romeo Doubbs and/or Dontayvion Wicks to assume larger roles as well. However with the uncertainty surrounding the Packers’ passing offense, neither should be started in that game.Â
Ricky Pearsall – 49ers – Knee, Ankle
Pearsall suffered a leg injury on the 49ers’ first play from scrimmage on a hip drop tackle in Sunday’s win over the Titans, he left the game, returned and was able to finish it. However, it was revealed on Monday that he aggravated his PCL injury and suffered a sprained ankle. He won’t be practicing to start the week and it immediately puts his status for Monday night’s game against the Colts in Jeopardy. If Pearsall can’t go, Jauan Jennings will assume top wide receiver duties while Kendrick Bourne and DeMarcus Robinson should also see plenty of playing time. Jennings can be trusted as a WR2/FLEX play but look for the 49ers to lean heavily on Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle if Pearsall can not go.Â
