The final week of many managers’ regular seasons is an awkward one, with the final four teams yet to do so on their bye weeks. That means managers who were carried by this year’s QB3 Drake Maye or just got used to having Brock Purdy back or have been riding the dynamic Jaxson Dart will have to look elsewhere in a potentially pivotal week.
How does the rest of the landscape look as we head into the fantasy playoffs? Check out the Week 14 rankings below.

Premium Access RequiredPlayer Team Opponent Notes 1 Josh Allen BUF CIN I think I’m officially retiring from ranking anyone other than Allen, Patrick Mahomes or Drake Maye No. 1. With Maye on bye and Mahomes facing the best defense in the league, Allen is a no-brainer. 2 Dak Prescott DAL DET Prescott continues to chug along in this awesome offense, and he’s likely to finish as a top half QB1. This Lions defense is really trending poorly, and Prescott should crush this week. 3 Jalen Hurts PHI LAC Hurts bummed me out after I ranked him QB1 last week. This offense gives me pause, but Hurts is a one-man scoring machine and surely something will give. 4 Matthew Stafford LAR ARI Stafford had a strange stumble last week. There’s nothing to suggest this is the new normal, and he belongs in this spot in what should be a fairly routine game. 5 Patrick Mahomes KC HOU Mahomes was QB1 in a loss last week against the coveted Dallas matchup. Drawing the feared Houston matchup, he takes a hit, but this is a must-win spot for him, so I won’t knock him too much. 6 Jared Goff DET DAL Goff is down a few weapons, but he’s continued to post QB1 weeks. This week, he gets the best matchup on the board. He should be started everywhere. 7 Joe Burrow CIN BUF Burrow was solid enough in his return without Tee Higgins to hint at being close to the QB5 he was drafted as this year. This is a tougher matchup, but many of the top QBs have tough ones this week. 8 Lamar Jackson BAL PIT Fool me three times, shame on me. Jackson has stacked one too many bad weeks. Even though this is among the better matchups on the board, the injury concerns are too great to trust him fully. 9 Bo Nix DEN LVR Nix didn’t play very well against a bad Washington D a week ago, but this Raiders team is a complete corpse. The upside is too great even if Nix is inherently uneven. 10 Jordan Love GB CHI Love looked incredible on Turkey Day in Detroit, and Josh Jacobs not being 100% has boosted his TD pass production. Two red flags here: Consistency is a concern for Love, and the Bears have looked much better defensively recently.11 Baker Mayfield TB NO The Bucs took a bit off Mayfield’s plate last week, possibly due to his injury. This is just such a nothing defense with a team that’s toast, so Mayfield is safe with less than ideal upside. 12 Jacoby Brissett ARI LAR It seemed like the Bucs had finally stopped this year’s consistent king, but a garbage time rally got Brissett his whopping SEVENTH consecutive QB1 week. With the Rams, he’ll face his stiffest test, albeit one Bryce Young passed last week.13 Justin Herbert LAC PHI Herbert has a broken hand, but it’s not the one he throws with, so it seems like he will face Philly Monday. The combination of health, matchup and injured OL makes Herbert a bit less appealing than normal this week.14 Daniel Jones IND JAC Jones is clearly compromised, but even a limited pocket passer can succeed against the Jags. If the OL can keep him clean, Jones will threaten a QB1 week. 15 Sam Darnold SEA ATL Darnold has struggled with volume lately, but Atlanta is in total free fall. Crucially, he’ll be motivated to funnel to JSN after the future OPOY had his first quiet week of the season. 16 Trevor Lawrence JAC IND What if I told you Lawrence ascended to the QB1 ranks last week? It seems improbable, but he’s been a consistently healthy QB2. That should continue, as he’s built a rapport with new addition Jakobi Meyers.17 Caleb Williams CHI GB Williams has entered a stretch of tough defenses with the Bears committed to scoring in the run game. He doesn’t have the requisite upside right now. 18 Tyrod Taylor NYJ MIA Taylor would be my preferred streamer this week. He’s found something with AD Mitchell and Miami is a favorable matchup. 19 Marcus Mariota WAS MIN If Mariota starts, he interests me as a streamer. What he did against a dominant Denver defense on SNF was nothing short of incredible. A much easier matchup awaits this week. 20 Tyler Shough NO TB I am sideyeing Shough as a useful fantasy playoffs streamer. His matchups are fairly weak, and he’s snagged the QB12 spot in two of his last three games. 21 C.J. Stroud HOU KC I badly want to buy in on Stroud. I worry that his defense being so good is actively hurting him by creating low-scoring contests. Opposing a must-win KC isn’t the spot I want to buy back in just yet. 22 Tua Tagovailoa MIA NYJ Tua completed 12 passes in a win over a similarly bad team last week. He completed 14 and 15 his two previous starts. There just isn’t any upside in what he’s putting forth right now. This is De’Von Achane’s offense.23 J.J. McCarthy MIN WAS McCarthy is back after his backup Max Brosmer was the worst QB the NFL has seen all year. This is a soft landing for McCarthy, but he’s still so volatile that trusting him is incredibly risky. 24 Shedeur Sanders CLE TEN There just isn’t enough quality volume coming from Sanders to bump him up to the streaming radar. In his two starts, he completed 11 passes and 16 passes (with a 6.0 YPA). 25 Aaron Rodgers PIT BAL Rodgers didn’t finish last week’s game due to injury and general suckiness. Betting on a bounceback feels fraught. 26 Kirk Cousins ATL SEA Cousins should get eaten alive by this dominant Seahawks defensive line. This is a brutal matchup for a guy not offering anything dynamic. 27 Cam Ward TEN CLE Ward couldn’t get anything going against a poor Jags defense, meaning there’s no way you can play him with confidence against the very good Browns defense. 28 Geno Smith LVR DEN Easily the worst QB/matchup combo of the week, there’s no justification for Geno in any lineup this week. 29* Jayden Daniels WAS MIN I’d be skeptical of Daniels returning this week, but I’d rank him similarly to Mariota. 30* Trey Lance LAC PHI Lance would be far lower than Herbert if the Chargers go with him this week. I’d rank him just behind Sanders. 31* Mason Rudolph PIT BAL Rudolph has looked horrible, I’d rank him only above Smith.
