I’m going to do something I haven’t done all season in this week’s column. I’m going to give the gold medal to a quarterback.

I don’t make this decision lightly, and there’s a pretty good chance you don’t need a quarterback if you’re playing competitively into Week 12. That said, this quarterback has been surging, has a great finishing schedule for the fantasy regular season and playoffs, and is subtly a comfortable QB1 so far this season. If he’s still out there for you, he’s arguably a top-five QB as we head into the home stretch.

Quick reminder: I’m primarily going to discuss players with below 50% ownership on Yahoo, with possible exceptions if the number is very close.  There will be a section for players closer to 75-80% owned later in the article, which will include names to make sure aren’t owned in your league, but those names likely won’t be available in most cases.
