Premium Access RequiredRank Player Team Opponent Notes 1 Josh Allen BUF MIA Nobody owns a team quite like Allen owns the Dolphins. He’s the clear No. 1 this week, especially with Mahomes on bye and Cook banged up. 2 Lamar Jackson BAL MIN Jackson didn’t look all the way back quite yet, but he’s had a long week off since TNF last week. His mobility will be worth monitoring against Brian Flores’ blitzes. 3 Drake Maye NE TB Maye is firmly at the top of the next tier, and in what should be a high-scoring matchup with a near 50-point total, he’s a must play. 4 Jalen Hurts PHI GB Don’t love the matchup for Hurts, but he and Maye are exactly tied in PPG this year. The lower total in this game breaks the tie for Maye. 5 Bo Nix DEN LVR I’m bullish on the Raiders matchup as one to exploit, and while Nix doesn’t score points in a linear fashion, his inevitable fourth quarter charge should make him a top option this week. 6 Caleb Williams CHI NYG Williams is an elite option against bad defenses, and the Giants are the last of the seven teams above 20 points per game allowed to the QB position. 7 Jaxson Dart NYG CHI The Bears are also a bad QB defense, making this game, with a 48-point total, worth targeting. Dart continues to be a QB1 without many weapons. 8 Justin Herbert LAC PIT This is a wheels up matchup on paper for the new QB2, but with Joe Alt officially done, I’m going to be cautious with Herbert until he sustains the same level without functional tackles. 9 Baker Mayfield TB NE High-total matchup for a rested, productive QB, but he doesn’t have any of his top weapons besides Emeka Egbuka as of now. 10 Jared Goff DET WAS Love Goff this week after seeing what Sam Darnold did to this defense last week. Similar QBs and a similar thesis makes Goff a QB1. 11 Matthew Stafford LAR SF Stafford continues to sit as a backend QB1, and this matchup shouldn’t diminish that. 12 Daniel Jones IND ATL I have a yellow flag for Jones right now after he failed to exploit the Steelers. The Falcons are also a tougher matchup. Still, he’s done enough to earn his place here. 13 Sam Darnold SEA ARI Darnold dominated in Week 9, and the Seahawks traditionally dominate Arizona. He’s a great streamer this week. 14 Jordan Love GB PHI Love played one of the worst QB games of the year against the Panthers last week. He’ll need to bounce back in primetime in Week 10. 15 Aaron Rodgers PIT LAC Chargers have been a stout matchup, but Rodgers continues to be one of the more reliable QB2s. 16 Marcus Mariota WAS DET I don’t have much faith in Mariota, but I do believe this game will likely see the most points scored this week, especially by Detroit, so he’s definitely a QB2 this week. 17 J.J. McCarthy MIN BAL McCarthy looked good in Week 9, but this Baltimore defense appears to have returned to a bit of form. I’m not enthused by him as a streamer in that context. 18 Justin Fields NYJ CLE This game is the lowest total of the week by a mile. Fields can rise above that if he plays well, but there’s huge risk he totally craters against this pass rush. 19 Jacoby Brissett ARI SEA Brissett has been a steady QB2 with Arizona’s solid pass catcher group, but Seattle is a tough defense that will pressure him a ton. This could be solid, but carries significant risk. 20 Mac Jones SF LAR It looks like another Jones start, and Jones succeeded against the Rams earlier this season. I still don’t trust it enough to recommend him. 21 Bryce Young CAR NO Young only threw for 100 yards in last week’s win. That’s just too much downside to trust as a streamer in a softer matchup. The Panthers want to run, run, run. 22 Tua Tagovailoa MIA BUF Tough matchup for Tua, as the Bills are now second only to Houston against QBs. He should definitely throw a lot in a negative game script, but that might not matter. 23 Trevor Lawrence JAC HOU Worst matchup possible for a QB down multiple weapons and struggling to score in the red zone already. Absolutely zero chance I’d play him in any format this week. 24 Geno Smith LVR DEN Denver’s defense is reliably tough, and I’m not buying Geno has bounced back just because he padded his stats in overtime against a bad Jags pass D. 25 Michael Penix ATL IND I’m totally out on Penix in fantasy, despite the Drake London spamming from last week. Atlanta cannot be trusted week to week. 26 Davis Mills HOU JAC Mills is likely to start with C.J. Stroud concussed. The Jags are very exploitable, and he should have plenty of quality weapons to throw to. He just lacks any appealing upside as a player. 27 Tyler Shough NO CAR Shough is still a huge work in progess, and they just traded his top first-read target from his first start last week. Carolina also just stymied Jordan Love a week ago. 28 Dillon Gabriel CLE NYJ Gabriel and Cam Ward are the two worst fantasy starters we have right now, and with Ward on bye, Gabriel gets the bottom spot. 29* C.J. Stroud HOU JAC I don’t expect Stroud to clear concussion protocol after last week’s gnarly hit, but if he does, he’d be a borderline QB1 in this easy matchup. 30* Brock Purdy SF LAR Who knows what’s going on with Purdy, but until he puts a week on film to prove he’s healthy, I’m staying away. He’d rank between Tua and Lawrence for me this week.
