My fellow fantasy basketball GM’s, let’s take a look at tonight’s top pickups that could provide a boost to your fantasy roster.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Goga Bitadze, C, ORL (34% rostered)
Tonight: 28 minutes, 12 points (6-of-7 FG), 12 rebounds, two blocks, one assist, one steal.
Analysis: Bitadze may not be the highest scorer, but when he does score, he does so efficiently, while also contributing solid rebounding and defensive stats, particularly blocks. He is currently benefiting from both Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr. being out and making the most of it. Despite Moe Wagner also playing effectively, Bitadze has remained in the starting lineup, logging 20-plus minutes each night. As the starting center for this hot Magic team, which is carving out wins without their superstar, he offers solid and consistent value in field goal percentage, blocks and rebounds right now.
Jared McCain, PG, PHI (27% rostered)
Tonight: 38 minutes, 34 points (12-of-26 FG, 4-of-4 FT), six triples, 10 assists, two rebounds, two steals.
Analysis: This was the fourth consecutive game for McCain where he played 30-plus minutes and scored 20-plus points, including a career-high 34 points, 10 assists and two steals tonight. The rookie is making the most of Tyrese Maxey’s injury, as well as Paul George and Joel Embiid resting on back-to-backs as he gets to start and log heavy minutes. As things stand, McCain has definitely made a strong case to be rostered in standard leagues as long as Maxey remains out and he can continue his hot streak. He’s proven to be a valuable source of excellent free throw and field goal efficiency, along with 3-pointers and points.
