• The NBA Cup is reaching its zenith, which means we’re about to get a long stretch of time without fantasy stats accruing. For some, it’ll be a nice break. For others, torture, as one outlier game in either direction could make or break a matchup. With so few games on deck, you won’t be able to out-volume your problems either.

The quarterfinals kick off on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Magic facing Milwaukee, the Hawks drawing the Knicks, the Mavs matching up with OKC and Golden State renewing their rivalry with Houston. It’s a fun mix of team, with a handful of squads that fancy themselves title contenders and some groups on the rise. There’s no one team that fluked their way into this — no tanking team that happened to win its qualifying games by happenstance — so we should expect some competitive games, especially with the extra financial incentive on the line.

This writer’s prediction? Oklahoma City over Milwaukee.
