No Bilal on Thursday and beyond: With his recent hamstring/hip injury, Bilal Coulibaly will miss his second straight match, and he will join Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) as the other major absence in the capital team. In the rematch against the Pistons, the Wizards will have Khris Middleton, Marcus Smart and Richaun Holmes all available barring a setback before gametime. The veterans have been able to make an impact as of late, with other players like Kyshawn George, Bub Carrington and Corey Kispert also having decent potential as streaming options. Justin Champagnie even though has started in Washington’s lineup, remains a deep-league option only, as well, Tristan Vukcevic lacks track record for me to recommend him as a streaming target.
Coulibaly is now out for 4-to-6 weeks which should end his season.
All clear for the rematch: The Pistons will try to take both games against the Wizards at home to start closing on a successful season from the young team with almost everyone available in their rotation, as Jaden Ivey is still not recovered from a broken fibula he suffered back in January. With Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren thriving while being solidly supported by Tobias Harris, Malik Beasley, Ausar Thompson and Dennis Schroder, there’s little you can expect to stream from Detroit, as the available players on their second unit don’t get enough minutes or usage to be ideal options.
Stream of the Game
With Coulibaly out, Kyshawn George and Bub Carrington become better options than they’re on usual basis. The rest of the available veterans in Washington depend on others for their usage to remain high.
Alternatives: Richaun Holmes (points, rebounds, blocks), Corey Kispert, Tim Hardaway Jr. (points, 3s), Marcus Smart (points, assists, steals), Isaiah Stewart (rebounds, blocks).
