Key Storylines

Donte Dissatisfication: I saw a rumor that DDV could be on the trade block, as he wants a chance to start somewhere. I don’t know about the legitimacy of that, but add in the fact that he is shooting 34.8% from the field so far and outside of the top-150 for 9-cat on a per-game basis so far and things aren’t going well. I feel confident in saying that he can and will shoot better than that at some point and since he is already at 1.4 SPG, if the efficiency improves he should get into 12-team range.

Porzingis: Kristaps Porzingis started doing some work with the G League, so I would estimate him back within next 3-to-4 weeks even if the Celtics are being extra cautious. He will likely sit back-to-backs throughout the season and be eased in, but we saw how much he can affect a game in his limited Finals run last season.

Stream of the Game

Jaden McDaniels is the top choice for his 3-and-D value so far and just might be worth holding for a while.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker should draw another start with Mike Conley (toe) out and deliver some 3-and-D stats.

Alternatives: 

Neemias Queta or Luke Kornet for low-end big man stuff if Al Horford (questionable misses.

Sam Hauser for 3s.

Key Storylines

Bub & Brog: Bub Carrington had taken a downturn and then we saw Malcolm Brogdon start over him in the last game. This was a surprise to me, as the Wizards had been prioritizing their youth all season. Carrington’s 12-team run may be over for a while, but he will almost certainly start again at some point. Brian Keefe (head coach) has shuffled his lineups a bit. Malcolm Brogdon should be grabbed wherever he is available.

Jarace Walker hasn’t separated himself: The young forward/wing started one of the games without Ben Sheppard but that has since been given to Quenton Jackson. Walker is still an interesting, toolsy player but maybe the wing experiment isn’t the thing for him and he should be a four. The problem is that position is occupied. This is still a talent you’re valuing in dynasty, although we are yet to get the redraft returns consistently.

Stream of the Game

We have two fast-paced teams that like to play in transition and the spread suggests a high-scoring Pacers win. This game could yield a lot of good streamers.

If Malcolm Brogdon (more long term) is gone, I’d be fine taking a look at Bub Carrington off the bench, but my pick is Kyshawn George for some 3s as I think the environment could suit him.

Bilal Coulibaly was dropped a bit this week, so he is also an add with some long-term upside.

Update: Poole is out, Sarr is questionable, Bub should start.

Alternatives: 

Obi Toppin, Corey Kispert, Quenton Jackson and in deeper formats, you have Jarace Walker.
