Game Total 226Key Storylines
Sun Rising – The Suns have a 6-4 record in their last 10 games and are two games behind the Pelicans for fifth place and only one game ahead of the Kings in the first play-in spot. This means that there is a lot of pressure over the remainder of the regular season to lock in the sixth seed or above to avoid a play-in game. Kevin Durant’s usage has spiked over the last two weeks as the Suns have turned to him as the primary offensive option, but this has led to an increase in turnovers which has dragged down his ranking over that stretch and he’s going to need to take better care of the ball. Jusuf Nurkic has been spectacular patrolling the glass and has reached the 20 rebound threshold in each of the last two games. He’s going to bully Brook Lopez in the inside today so he has a good chance at another big rebounding game. Devin Booker is the 25th ranked player over the last two weeks which is down from his season long averages and having Bradley Beal back has tampered with his individual production.
Khris Middleton is off the injury report and projected to return from a 16 game absence from a left ankle sprain. The Bucks have been playing well in his absence, losing only five games in that stretch, but they sure are glad to have him back. Expectations should be held in check though as he will likely have some restrictions while he ramps up his on-court activity. His minutes should be consistent with the 26.5 minutes per game he is averaging this season and he is contributing ninth round 9-cat value. Brook Lopez’s production has dipped over the last two weeks, ranking just outside of the top-140 over that time span, which should be concerning for fantasy managers who are in the midst of fantasy playoffs. His blocks and 2-point shooting percentages have fallen, which is the main explanation for his dip in production. The Bucks don’t prioritize Lopez as an offensive option but fantasy managers would benefit from some positive regression in the blocks column.
