Key Storylines

Jabari Smith Jr. is having a very strong run as of late and he has been a fifth round player over the last two weeks. This has coincided with a recent shift down to the center spot with Alperen Sengun out for the remainder of the season. Amen Thompson is probable for today and with Tari Eason and Jae’Sean Tate both out, he will get significant run as the starting small forward. Jalen Green has cooled off after a blazing hot run last month and he is now outside of the top-70 over the last two weeks. Fred VanVleet continues to provide a strong veteran presence and has picked up his play, putting up second round numbers these past couple of weeks as well.

Luka Doncic missed the Mavericks’ last game against the Warriors but is back today. Kyrie Irving continues has been a first round player all year and should be able to step up again even with Doncic back. With Derek Lively out for at least another week, Daniel Gafford will soak up more minutes at the center spot which makes him a strong standard league play. PJ Washington had a 32-point outing on Friday and is putting up a second round run over the last two weeks but as we know, this could bottom out in a hurry.
